Murat Coşkun invites you to the second edition of the “Frame Drum Camp Portugal”! Everyone who wants to get more involved with their frame drums: I will share a week of Frame Drum music with You! We will take this time to explore new techniques, learn compositions, improvise, jam, and make music together — all in an inspiring atmosphere. In addition to the Frame Drum classes, there will be opportunities to play in an ensemble (with percussion, voice, or your own instrument). Yaschar Coşkun (Frame Drum) will be assisting you throughout the week with drumming, allowing us to split into groups whenever we want to dive deeper into specific topics and levels. I am very happy that Beatriz Picas (cello and voice) will also be joining the camp to teach some of our duo pieces with me. She will also be offering voice work for those interested.

The camp takes place at the beautiful and cozy Casa do Silêncio, surrounded by nature. This peaceful venue offers homemade meals with vegetables and fruits from the garden, a swimming pool and — just a 5-minute walk away — a lovely river beach. Our “drum excursions” into the surrounding area, sharing moments with the local community and discovering a bit more about Portuguese culture, are meaningful elements of this camp experience.

The camp fee includes all lessons and activities, accommodation in a shared twin room, all meals, and on-site transportation.

Pricing:

• First 5 applicants: €700 (€630 for students)

• Until the end of April: €765 (€690 for students)

• From May until the end of July: €850 (€765 for students)

There is also the option to book a single room for an additional fee of 150€.
The camp is limited to 20 participants, so early application is recommended.*
